High temperatures made it well into the 70s before the front pushed into the area with clouds and showers. As that front moves off to the east, the warm air of recent days is being replaced by a cool and gusty wind. That cool air becomes legitimately chilly by tomorrow, and the wind is in no hurry to quit. Sunday’s looking quite decent, though.
Through Tonight: The main area of showers associated with the front is moving away to the east, but a few more scattered showers are possible through the night. Skies eventually tend to clear as we get toward dawn. Winds will die off a bit once the sun sets, but not tonight. Expect them to roar throughout. With sustained levels around 15 to 25 mph, there should be gusts to 35 mph or so. Lows are in the mid-40s to near 50.

Tomorrow (Saturday): We should see a fair amount of sunshine, although thicker clouds may linger in the morning along with a shower or two. In a general clearing regime, some clouds could bubble during the midday into afternoon thanks to very cold air aloft. It’s a slow rise in temperatures, and they won’t get all that high for highs. On top of that, it’s going to be even windier than tonight! Winds sustained around 20-30 mph are likely for a good chunk of the day. That means gusts to 40 or 45 mph are possible. Plan on mostly mid-to-upper 50s for highs, although a lucky spot or two might hit 60.
Sunday: If Saturday’s weather makes you want to stay inside, Sunday may be the opposite. It does start off chilly, with suburbs trying for the upper 30s around with mid-40s downtown for lows. But from there, it’s largely glorious. Highs head for the mid-60s at least, and some upper-60s are possible. Tons of sun, too. The only downside may be that breezes remain, but they are much more manageable around 10 mph.
